Things to Do 

University Park is the perfect place to spend a day with family and friends. One of the neighborhood's most notable attractions is the Holmes Aquatic Center. The pool is 50 meters long and includes a giant slide and three diving boards of different heights. There is also a walk-in ramp for handicapped accessibility. The pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day and only for University Park residents. The Katy Trail is a popular trail linking Dallas's business district with recreational options, shopping, and other neighborhoods. Joggers and cyclists love it for its scenic views, while walkers and inline skaters can enjoy the smooth surface of the concrete trail.

Curtis Park is a great place to relax in the summer months. Locals love to go there, and if visitors are looking for something other than the typical Dallas tourist activities, this is the spot. There are picnic tables, benches, a fountain, and a pool. The George W. Bush Presidential Center is a must-see destination in University Park. Based on its appearance during Bush's tenure in office, a full-scale replica of the Oval Office is included among several exhibits. There are also permanent exhibits about each year of Bush's life from birth until his first year as president in 2001.
